Transfer the benefits of your Mechanical Breakdown Insurance when selling your asset privately.
When selling your asset privately, an AWN Mechanical Breakdown Insurance can add value to your Motor Vehicle, Motorbike, Motorhome or Caravan.
Step 1. Download and complete a “Transfer of Warranty/Insurance” form
This form contains “Transfer Application” and “Payment Options” sections; and allows you to fill in the fields before printing.
Please note: be aware that this process will involve an inspection of the asset.
Step 2. Submit your documents
To transfer the benefits of an AWN Mechanical Breakdown Insurance, you must submit the following documents to AWN within 7 days of change of ownership of the vehicle:
- A fully completed and signed “Transfer of Warranty/Insurance form”, along with the “Credit Card Authority form”.
- Paperwork from the transport department, confirming the vehicle has been transferred into your name.
- Current Roadworthy Certificate/Safety Inspection (if applicable in the state of registration).
Step 3. Wait for confirmation of the transfer
After submitting your documents, and within 3 business days of successful transfer, you will receive a confirmation email including a copy of the amended disclosure documents.
